Ryan Kitts was born in Butte Montana. At the age of 16, Ryan started working on large ranches, getting the opportunity to enjoy and live in some God's greatest landscapes, namely Montana and northern Wyoming. In 1998 he decided to take his love for the outdoors and turn it into a career. He currently guides fly fisherman, in a drift boat, chasing big browns and vibrant rainbows on the Missouri and Big Horn Rivers, two of the best tail waters in Montana. He guides elk hunters from wall tent camps high in the mountains to sage brush flats full of big muleys and river bottoms teeming with white tail. However, waterfowl is his true obsession.  Ryan guides waterfowl hunters in eastern Montana, going after large concentrations of big honkers.  He has a black lab, Shilo and a Chessie, Buck, both of which he trained from puppies. For Ryan, nothing beats calling birds in close and watching his dogs make excellant retrieves.  After the season winds down, Ryan can be found in his shop, hand carving and painting duck decoys.

Andrew Dierks grew up in SW Minnesota where his father instilled in him a passion for the outdoors—particularly hunting.  Although his family wasn’t particularly interested in waterfowl, Andrew had a strong desire for those elusive birds.  During his younger years he would spend countless hours reading articles about waterfowl and trying to learn any possible piece of information that he could.  Learning to do everything himself, Andrew put those readings to truth and killed his first duck at the age of twelve.  The following year he shot his first goose at the age of thirteen.  Not long after that, Andrew’s mind set turned to short reed goose calls and a particular interest in honkers.  Andrew purchased a Gander Valley Powerhouse to upgrade his arsenal and in 2004 he was asked to join the Gander Valley Pro Staff.   Aside from blowing a call in the field, Andrew has taken an interest in blowing on the stage and has placed as high as third.  Andrew plans to continue his passion for ducks and geese for years to come.

My name is Calven Goza, I live in Greeley, Colorado in the heart of goose country. Year round I live and breath hunting and during season I spend every possible moment in the field. Whether I am chasing deer and elk with my bow, hunting ducks or geese, or chasing around pheasants, turkeys, or coyotes I am always enjoying the outdoors. During the off season you will find me building habitat, scouting, rebuilding blinds, preparing for the next season, and competing in calling contests. I have grown up in a hunting family and have always been around hunting, but early on I found an obsession for waterfowl that never ceases to stop growing. After my first goose hunt I was hooked and quickly picked up a goose call. Contest calling is an awesome experience, you meet a lot of great new people and can always learn new things. Thanks to Mark and Gander Valley calls I am very accomplished in the calling circuit. Calling geese in and finishing them feet away from you is what I live for. Without Gander Valley calls I would not be able to finish geese and win over judges with the overwhelming success I have.

I began hunting at the age of 10 when I first received my hunters education card. I started off hunting upland birds with my father on my grandparents farm. This new found love of soon branched into my obsession, waterfowl hunting. I shot my first canada goose at the age of 12 that I called in my self using in old Faulks call. Since that very day I have been continuously working on learning and perfecting sounds on the short reed goose call. There is just something about being able to mimic the sounds of the geese and getting them to glide into the decoys that I will always love. I currently am at Colorado State University, and am living in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Gander Valley Custom Calls are the goosie calls I have ever used, and are able to put the birds into your face!

Jeff Kurtz was born and raised in central Wisconsin. Jeff's father taught hunters safety and was an avid outdoorsman which lead to Jeff's love of hunting and fishing.

In 1990 Jeff started goose hunting the fields in Central Wisconsin and found it to be very addicting, soon he gave up all other hunting and focused on waterfowl hunting. He started hunting with very little knowledge of geese but with a lot of time scouting and watching the behavior of geese he soon learned what it took to be successful in the field. He started to upgrade his equipment with better decoys, blinds, and calls, which brought him to Gander Valley Custom Calls. He meet Mark over the phone when he bought his first call, soon they were talking more and more. Mark helped him with his calling and soon Jeff was enjoying more successful hunts in the field, he also enjoys helping others with their calling when he can. Jeff is hoping to start blowing competitively soon.

Jeff enjoys mostly field hunting, but does get on the water for a goose hunt here and there. He has taken many limits of geese in central Wisconsin and continues to improve and gain experience with each passing season

My name is Derrick Hulsey and I am 25 old  years old and I am from Tulsa Oklahoma.  I have been Involved in the outdoors since I was a very small child.  I started out fishing with my father and grandfather who are also avid outdoorsman.  I went deer hunting for the first time when I was 8.  I shot a small basket racked buck that year and have been hooked on hunting ever since.  I was 13 the first time that I hunted waterfowl and that has absolutely been my passion ever since.  It was a cold clear day with a hard north wind and the mallards were thick in the timber for hours.  Around this time I also began training retrievers for a local pro in my hometown.  From the first time I hunted waterfowl my passion has always been the dogs and the art of fooling the birds with your decoys and calling ability.  I now own and operate Lighthouse retrievers and Guide service.  I have blown in several contests and had some success but my true passion lies in dog training and hunting.

My name is Dustin Andersen and I was born and raised in Fergus Falls, Minnesota in the west central part of the state. My love for hunting started at a young age when I was introduced to whitetail deer hunting. After going on a few deer hunts my dad took me on my first duck hunt. After watching him and my uncle pound ducks on the weekends waterfowling has been in my blood ever since. My dad taught me everything I needed to know about the outdoors and how to hunt ethically. Goose hunting on the other hand I had to figure out for myself. None of my family ever field hunted for geese. I started out goose hunting at the age of 15 and it continues to be my passion to this day. Nothing gets my blood pumping more than the sight of canadas locked up to a decoy spread. I enjoy communicating with geese and making them do what I want them to do to ensure a good clean kill. I look forward to years ahead and time in the field with old and new friends.

My love for the outdoors started at a young age when I started in Scouting and grew as I tagged along with my father to be his little bird dog in 3rd grade. I advanced through the ranks of scouting all the way to become an Eagle Scout, and during that time my love for the outdoors grew stronger and stronger. Once I started hunting at the 14 no one could stop me. It started with just deer hunting but after harvesting my 1st goose at the age of 15, I found my passion, waterfowl hunting. I am currently a full-time student pursuing a degree in Television and Video Production, with hopes to combine my love of the outdoor and my passion of hunting, to land a job in the Outdoor Television Field.

Ben Gates was born and raised in Helena Montana, he currently resides in Billings with his wife Jamie. He was interested in the outdoors and hunting from the very beginning, his father used to carry him in his back pack while hunting as early as age one. And the passion has only grown, he enjoys chasing just about every animal in North America, but waterfowl has become his main focus. He has guided in Montana for the last 6 years and he hunts can range from a goose hunt in a corm field to a Trophy elk hunt deep in the back country. Ben travels to several states through the season, following the migration and doing what he loves….decoying them close! Ben enjoys calling geese and ducks, he says watching them react to his calling is more rewarding than actually shooting them. He was introduced to Gander Valley through a good friend, Ryan Kitts. Ryan Pro Staffs for Mark and Ben got to try his first Powerhouse and was hooked ever since. He had a collection of other high end calls but switched over and has not looked back. He helped filed test the HomeWrecker in North Dakota, Minnesota and Montana and said it’s the easiest duckiest double reed he ever ran. Ben is a hardcore water fowler with ethics and skill that make him stand out in the field.
